Iniscealtra National School
News September 2009
During the summer we had a big clean up in the school. A number of parents and teachers volunteered their time and did an outstanding job cleaning and painting the classrooms.
The children returned on August 31st to fresh brightly painted rooms. We are extremely grateful to all who helped and who worked so hard during the holidays..
Seven new pupils started school in junior infants this September. So far all is going well and they have settled remarkably well.
To Antonia, Oisin, Luke N, Luke M, Cedric, Pascal, and their parents we extend a welcome and congratulations to all.
We are delighted to have the new playground available this September. The playground was purchased as part of the arrangement by which the new childcare facility was set up.
The school wishes to thank Phyllis and Ger Hogan for their cooperation without which none of these developments could have taken place. Well done to Dan Coen who carried out the work on the playground and to our consulting engineer John Jones who planned and supervised the work.
We have a beautiful play area, safely back from the road which children will use and enjoy for decades to come.
