The school's gaelic footballers are back in training again. The school enters the gaelic football school's competition every year and last year reached the semi final stage. Training takes place in Whitegate pitch every Tuesday and Thursday from 3.30 pm until 4.15pm.
All Ireland hurling success
There has been great excitement not just in the school but all over the county after the marvellous achievement of our senior hurling team in winning the All Ireland senior hurling championship. there was great interest in the final and the replay. On the Friday before the drawn game, all pupils and staff arrived in school in their Clare colours. Many of our pupils attended one or both of the games and attended the homecoming in Ennis on Sunday 29th of September.
5th and 6th class sailing trip
On Friday the 20th of September pupils from the 5th and 6th classroom with our teacher Ms. Bohan and some parents started walking to Iniscealtra sailing club.
Just before half past one we arrived there . After that, one of the members, Pat Carroll, showedus some of the boats. Then we were sorted into groups and boarded our boat. Our boat was really nice and modern. In our group there was our sailor Ken, Lucelle, Dannielle, Alannah and me.
As we were sailing Ken told us all about his boat. we looked around, it was quite big. The water was calm and relaxing. We sailed to Garykennedy and back to Mountshannon. It was around 4 o'clock when we got back. Back in Mountshannon we had some refreshments. After a while we all went home,
I think everyone had a great time. I would love to do it again.
