Handwriting

Yesterday we learned how to do all small letters in joint handwriting. Today someone suggested that we would do a cuckoo poem, then sir said to do it in joint handwriting. This is a picture of our work.

 

 

 

Eddie Lenihan visit

Eddie told us a story about Biddy Early and one about fairies which some people call the good people. He also told us a story about a man who tatched roofs and he got his foot split open

Community games art competition

On the 25th of January in whitegate club House the community games held an art competition. The competition was on for 2 hours after all the participants left a judge came and decided the winners. The winners were

Irish dancing

My name is Caoibhe I do Irish dancing with Stephanie power. I started two and a half years ago and I’m doing competitions for a year and a half. This year at the connachts I qualified for the world s in April in Dublin. I am really excited to go and I can’t wait.

Noel Murphys Visit

Last week a man called Noel Murphy came into our school to teach 2nd to 6th class about linen. We walked around Mountshannon and passed Logan’s Bridge, went down by the harbour. Then we came up by the old linen market and then we went into a shed where they would make the linen. On the way back to school we saw Wintys cottage.
